About the SANIGUARD Alliance
The SANIGUARD Alliance is a partnership of independent manufacturing companies that are committed to the use of our SANIGUARD® treatment, which incorporates an inorganic, silver-based technology that actively inhibits the growth of a broad spectrum of bacteria, molds and fungi, which cause odors, staining and deterioration of their plumbing and hardware products
for the commercial and healthcare markets.
Alliance members supply SANIGUARD-treated products such as flush valves, P-traps, drains,
door hardware, shower enclosures, grab bars, bedpan washers and flushers, hand showers
and shower valves, water fountains and bubblers, faucets and pre-rinse units for applications
in patient rooms, public restrooms, commercial kitchens and more.

About SANIGUARD® Antimicrobial Product Protection
SANIGUARD® antimicrobial product protection is a built-in treatment for metal and plastic
products and coatings.
When microbes come into contact with a SANIGUARD-treated product surface, the inorganic,
silver ion technology actively inhibits their growth by hindering cell wall transmissions, disrupting cell metabolism, and interfering with cellular reproduction.
SANIGUARD® coatings and additives are effective against most common bacteria, yeasts, molds, and fungi that cause stains, odors and product deterioration. In addition, our SANIGUARD® treatment makes products easier to clean and keeps them cleaner and fresher between routine cleanings.
The SANIGUARD® treatment is built in to products during the manufacturing process and will not wash off or wear away. Under normal cleaning conditions, SANIGUARD® coatings and additives will provide continuous antimicrobial product protection for the useful life of the product.
SANIGUARD® antimicrobial product protection is a permanent treatment that is designed to protect the product. It is not a disinfectant and does not protect users or others against food-borne or disease-causing microorganisms. Users should continue to maintain proper cleaning
and hygienic practices.
